When legendary Norwegian black metallers Immortal—guitarist Abbath, drummer Horgh, and Aura Noir's Apollyon on bass—announced that they had reformed and would play a handful of live dates across the globe, we here at MetalKult (along with legions of fans worldwide) were obviously stoked.

So when their 7 Dates of Blashyrkh tour came through New York City on July 13, 2007, we weren't going to miss it. To our delight, Abbath and company enthusiastically granted our request to film the show.

Check out the following two videos of Immortal playing "Solarfall" and "Withstand the Fall of Time," from their 1999 album At the Heart of Winter.

On May 14, 2007, MetalKult hit the Watain/Nachtmystium show at BB King's in New York City. After we conducted an enlightening interview with Nachtmystium singer/guitarist Blake Judd, we caught the Chicago band's set.

Check out the following clip from that show of the black metallers tearing through "My Vengeance," which originally appeared on the 2004 Eulogy IV EP.

Glenn Danzig will hit the road beginning in late October for a handful of live concert dates on both the East and West coasts. Joining Danzig on these dates will be bassist Steve Zing (Samhain) and guitarist Todd Youth (Danzig, Murphy's Law); former Misfits axe man Doyle Von Frankenstein and his new band Gorgeous Frankenstein, will support on all dates.

Glenn and Doyle have been in the studio recording Doyle's first solo album, "Gorgeous Frankenstein," which Danzig produced and will release on October 16 on his label, evilive. According to Glenn, he and Doyle recorded "eight blood-curdling tracks" that include "Man or Monster," "Devilgirl," "Reverse of God," and "Made In Hell." The two played all instruments on the album.

Check out this classic video for Danzig's "Mother":

These Danzig dates are also in support of The Lost Tracks of Danzig, the two-CD set that was released May 29, as well as Glenn's limited edition book Drukija, Contessa of Blood, loosely based on the legend of 17th century vampire, Countess Elizabeth Bathory, and illustrated by long time collaborator Simon Bisley. The Lost Tracks is comprised of 26 previously unreleased tracks that span Danzig's entire career and were originally recorded during the band's seven-album "arc" that began with 1988's Danzig.
